Total Restoration Cycling Team

This year, Elitewave will partner with the Total Restoration Cycling Team. I will be working as the manager for the Women's Team which includes Israeli National Road Champion Leah Goldstein and Commonwealth Games triathlete Gillian Kornell. Sarah is also riding for the team and looking forward to joining up with the girls for another hyper competitive BC Superweek in July. The Total Restoration team is the brainchild of Cory Forrest. Check out the team's website HERE.

Life In The Fast Lane

Cycling season is just around the corner. This year is going to be an exciting one with the Beijing Olympics just around the corner and Elitewave athletes battling for positions on the team. The year is shaping up to be one of the busiest cycling seasons ever.
Sarah and I have finally settled into our new house in Parksville. We are also looking forward to our Mt. Washington wedding at the end of August.
We just welcomed Buddy the scooter into our garage. He's cooler than he appears in the photo above - and he's the ultimate motorpacer. Sarah and I went out this morning for a training ride in the rain and she couldn't wipe the smile off her face...even with Buddy dropping her at 55+ km/hr. The scooter is going to be invaluable for Sarah's training because we can simulate racing more accurately and she won't have to worry about missing the weekly crits. in Vancouver. Buddy will also be showing up at Dan's Camp to provide the riders with a little more contact between them and the coach. If you are interested in a Buddy of your own check out Scooter Underground in Victoria.
I am working for Cycling BC out of PacificSport Nanaimo and enjoying the new office and surroundings. Nanaimo is an incredible place for riding. I think the riding is even better than Victoria. The roads are quiet and there are plenty of very long loop options available. The mountain biking in the area is superbe. This will be the perfect back-drop for the new junior cycling center I am creating at Malaspina University. The people around here are keen and extremely helpful. There is a lot of energy for sport here.
