Sarah Stewart (Wedgewood) rode aggressively and made the winning break of the Atomic road race this past weekend. Escaping with Leah Guloin (Giant), Marni Hambleton (Symetrics) and Leah Goldstein (Symetrics), Sarah rode hard in the break until all hell broke loose during the 4th lap of 6. First Leah Guloin flatted with the wheel vehicle no where to be seen. Next, Stewart was dropped by the two Symetrics riders on the 4th lap of the race - leaving her just 30 seconds in front of the main peleton with 20km to go. Sarah rode solo to the finish. She extended her lead over the main peleton by another 30 seconds to finish up 3rd with a minute to spare over the main field. The race was won by Marnie Hambleton who rode in comfortably with teammate Goldstein.
